Swamp Club Subprocessors

Elder Swamp Club, Inc. a/k/a Swamp Club ("Swamp Club," "we," "us," or "our") uses the third-party service providers below to process personal information on our behalf. They help us run Swamp Club, the extension registry, and the services the Swamp CLI talks to (together, the "Service"). We call these providers subprocessors. This page supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect and why.
Infrastructure and operations
DigitalOcean, LLC
- Purpose: Cloud hosting for the Service: the servers that run Swamp Club, its API and the telemetry service; the databases we run ourselves; and object storage for published extensions, telemetry archives and backups.
- Personal information: All personal information the Service processes.
- Location: United States (San Francisco).
MongoDB, Inc. (MongoDB Atlas)
- Purpose: Managed database that stores accounts, profiles, collectives, Lab issues and telemetry events.
- Personal information: Account, profile, collective, Lab and telemetry data.
- Location: United States (Northern California), hosted on AWS.
Cloudflare, Inc.
- Purpose: DNS and redirects for our domains, and a proxy in front of the Service, including Swamp CLI downloads.
- Personal information: IP address and request metadata for traffic that passes through it.
- Location: Global edge network.
Axiom, Inc.
- Purpose: Application logs and traces we use to keep the Service running and debug problems.
- Personal information: Request metadata, IP addresses and account identifiers that appear in logs.
- Location: United States.
Bitbison
- Purpose: Security monitoring and threat detection. Its agent runs on every production server and records kernel-level activity, including processes, file access and network connections.
- Personal information: Any personal information processed on our production servers.
- Location: United States (Northern Virginia), hosted on AWS.
Google LLC (Google Cloud)
- Purpose: Internal operations tooling that routes alerts and helps us investigate incidents.
- Personal information: Personal information that appears incidentally in alerts and logs.
- Location: United States (Oregon).
Communications and customer management
Resend, Inc.
- Purpose: Sending account, billing and product emails, and recording delivery and unsubscribe events.
- Personal information: Email address, email content and delivery status.
- Location: United States.
Attio Ltd
- Purpose: Customer relationship management.
- Personal information: Name, email address, username, sign-up date, account status, and collective name, plan and seats.
- Location: European Union, hosted on Google Cloud.
Discord Inc.
- Purpose: Posting Swamp Club community announcements and syncing roles in our Discord server.
- Personal information: Username, public activity (such as sign-ups, badges, tiers and Lab issue titles), and linked Discord account ID.
- Location: United States.
Payments
Stripe, Inc.
- Purpose: Payment processing, subscriptions and invoicing.
- Personal information: Billing contact, billing address, tax ID, payment card details and username.
- Location: United States.
AI-assisted features
Anthropic, PBC
- Purpose: Reviewing and summarizing links submitted to the feed.
- Personal information: The submitter's username, the submitted link and note, and the linked page's content.
- Location: United States.
TypeSafe AI, Inc.
- Purpose: Classifying Lab issues by type and area so they reach the right people.
- Personal information: Lab issue title and body.
- Location: United States.
Other third parties
The services below are not subprocessors. They act under their own terms and privacy policies, and you only interact with them in the situations described:
- Sign-in providers. GitHub, Google, Microsoft and Discord receive your sign-in request if you choose to sign in with them. If your collective uses single sign-on, your organization's own identity provider handles your sign-in.
- Google Ads. Loads only if you grant the Advertising purpose. See our Cookie Policy.
- Google Fonts. Your browser fetches the fonts Swamp Club uses from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.
- YouTube. Podcast pages embed episodes from YouTube's privacy-enhanced
(
youtube-nocookie.com) player. - GitHub. Hosts the Swamp source code, and sends us public repository and issue data for extension verification and Lab issue sync.
