01README

Agent-facing predicate, choice, and score judgments over supplied text or scoped repository files using OpenAI Decisions. Inspired by IndyDevDan's "10 Levels of Jev For Agentic Engineers" cheap-read and files-at-scale demos: scout relevant source, classify file roles, triage existing test output, or choose from available agents without filling the calling agent's context. Multiple questions share one request; independent files use bounded internal concurrency. Advisory only, with explicit refusals and answer-only results. Independent of Jev. Live smoke examples: supplied failure triage in 369 ms, two-file parallel scouting in 682 ms, and combined comparison in 399 ms. Single-run processing measurements, not latency guarantees. See README for exact queries, results, and privacy limits.

Global Arguments

ArgumentTypeDescription
apiKey?stringVault-backed OpenAI API key. Falls back to OPENAI_API_KEY when omitted.
repositoryRoot?stringAbsolute checkout path required for askFiles; file selectors are relative to this root.
concurrencynumberMaximum simultaneous HTTP requests in per-file mode, within one model invocation.
fn ask(input: string)
Ask 1–32 independent predicate, choice, or score questions over supplied text in one OpenAI Decisions request. Returns named answers and probabilities; refusals stay explicit. Use for routing or triaging existing output, not tool execution or authorization.
ArgumentTypeDescription
inputstringText evidence shared by every question.
fn askFiles(input: string, paths: array, globs: array, mode: enum)
Scout explicitly selected repository files without loading source into the calling agent. Supply relative paths/globs and named typed questions. Per-file mode sends separate bounded concurrent requests; combined mode compares files in one request. Returns answers, paths, hashes, and omissions, not source. Read code before editing it; judgments are not authorizations.
ArgumentTypeDescription
inputstringTask context supplied alongside the selected files.
pathsarray
globsarrayRepository-relative patterns supporting *, **, and ?; for example src/**/*.ts.
modeenum
