- What counts as a user?
- Humans using Swamp. Agents and CI runners are never counted toward your seat limit.
- How long does my team have to evaluate Swamp?
- All of our plans come with a 30 day free trial, which begins when you invite someone to collaborate with you. If you need more than 30 days, let us know on Discord or support@swamp-club.com.
- When do I pay for Swamp?
- When you begin collaborating with colleagues and are paid for your work. If you are the only person using Swamp, then you can use it for free. If you are a team using Swamp, you can use it for free if nobody is being compensated for their work.
- How does billing work?
- Plans are billed in full at the start of each cycle. Your billing date is the day you subscribe and it renews on that day every month or year. Paying monthly costs a little more per seat than yearly, since the yearly plan includes the 10% discount for paying up front. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated and charged immediately; downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
- Can I switch plans?
- Yes, any time from your collective's billing page — you'll see exactly what a change costs before you confirm.
- How does support work?
- Support is first-come, first-served by priority queue. The higher your tier, the sooner we address your bugs. Enterprise is worked first, based on SLA, then Business (Priority Support), then Team (Standard Support), then Free (community support).
- What does "portable" mean next to the user count?
- Seats aren't tied to specific people. If someone leaves or rotates out, their seat opens up and you can hand it to someone else — no per-name license tracking.
- What are Managed Private Extensions?
- A custom extension that we will develop and adapt to your business needs, and maintain over time.
- What happens if I exceed my seat limit?
- You should move to the appropriate paid tier, and if you don't, we'll reach out to you. We won't turn anything off.
- Do you gate product functionality behind the paywall?
- No.
- Is Swamp Open Source?
- Yes. Swamp is free software under the AGPLv3, but it is distributed under the terms of our software license agreement — by using Swamp, you agree to these terms. You can learn more about how this works in our Open Source FAQ.
