#3460 Windows: update --check reports no binary available for windows/x86_64

Opened by stack72 · 10/14/2026

swamp update --check --json returns: No binary available for windows/x86_64. This platform may not be supported yet. The update channel does not list Windows binaries even though Windows binaries are published to GitHub Releases. Blocks self-update on Windows. Tested on binary 20261014.165834.0.

Closing here: no change is needed in the swamp CLI. This is just an upload change in swamp-uat. scripts/upload_binaries.sh only publishes darwin and linux tarballs to artifacts.swamp-club.com and never uploads the Windows zip, so the stable windows/x86_64 path returns 404. The CLI already handles Windows zips (swamp-club#1963). The fix (add the Windows zip to the upload, then backfill the current release) is being handled in swamp-uat.
