The build-dashboard task in deno.json (cd packages/dashboard && npm run build) fails on Deno 2.9.7 on macOS. deno task intercepts the inner npm run build and runs the package.json build script itself (log shows: Task build tsc -b && vite build). tsc -b passes, then vite crashes with: TypeError: Could not find referrer npm package file:///.../deno/npm/registry.npmjs.org/vite/6.4.3/dist/node/cli.js (vite@6.4.3), wrapped in UNHANDLED PROMISE REJECTION. Running npm ci then npm run build directly in packages/dashboard with Node 22 succeeds, which is what release.yml and windows-compat.yml do, so CI is unaffected. Impact: the documented local task for building (and type-checking) the dashboard does not work, so a local compile silently ships without the dashboard unless the developer knows to call npm directly. Found while working on swamp-club#2357. Repro: fresh worktree, cd packages/dashboard, npm ci, cd ../.., deno run build-dashboard.

Fixed in swamp-club/swamp#2562 (commit cf564879), shipped in v20260922.230507.0-sha.6e5a4087. The build-dashboard task in deno.json is now npm --prefix packages/dashboard run build. Deno task no longer intercepts the npm call, so the task builds the dashboard, and it exits 1 on a dashboard type error because tsc -b runs first. CI was never affected: release.yml and windows-compat.yml call npm directly.
