After workflow cancel, a cancelled step records its status as "cancelled: the process running this step stopped before the step finished" on Windows. On POSIX the same step records just "cancelled" with no suffix. The process tree kill (swamp#3241) works correctly — the step IS cancelled. The issue is the error text recorded in the step record. Tests assertEquals the status against "cancelled" which fails because of the extra suffix. 2 UAT failures: workflow cancel live local run and workflow cancel nested child. Tested on binary 20261011.232410.0. Discovered via Windows UAT runner swamp-uat#363.
