#3413 Docs: serve-flags check-config row for bare restricted-model-types entries

Opened by stack72 · 10/13/2026

Once swamp-club#3132 ships, swamp serve check-config checks bare restricted-model-types entries (no leading @) against built-in model types. An entry that is not a built-in type is reported as a restriction warning (reason unknown-type) telling the user to check the spelling or write an extension type with a leading @. Serve still checks bare entries against all registered types at startup; entries with a leading @ are not checked by either.

Page: content/manual/reference/swamp-serve/serve-flags.md. The table row 'A restricted-model-types entry without a leading @ that names no registered type' lists check-config as Not checked. Suggested change: check-config shows a Warning when the entry is not a built-in type (it does not load extension types), and the prose near the table should say to write extension types with a leading @.

Documented in swamp-club/swamp-club#1340 (merged). content/manual/reference/swamp-serve/serve-flags.md: the check-config cell for a bare restricted-model-types entry that names no registered type now reads 'Warning, built-in types only', and the prose says check-config warns with reason unknown-type, checks only built-in types since it does not load extension types, and that extension types should be written with a leading @. The example shows the real warning from swamp serve check-config. Live at https://swamp-club.com/manual/reference/swamp-serve/serve-flags
