swamp-club has a registry (extensions with a pull count + an automated quality grade) and a Lab (issues / feature requests with comments), but there is no way to recognize or reward community participation. Contributors who publish useful work, surface good feature requests, review/comment, or share knowledge earn no visible standing; users have no lightweight way to signal "this extension is good" (there are no upvotes). Beyond raw pull count and the machine quality grade, there is no social/curation signal and little to encourage discovery, discussion, or curation.

Proposed solution

A community points / reputation system that awards points for constructive social actions. Earn points for:

Upvote someone's extension — the extension author earns reputation for well-received work; give the voter a small amount too, to reward curation.
File a feature request — points on submission, with a bonus when the request is accepted / implemented.
Comment / ripple on an issue — small points for constructive discussion.
Feed post — share an update or knowledge to the community feed.
(Optional) publishing an extension, first publish, etc.

Surface points as:

a reputation score on the user profile,
author reputation shown next to their extensions,
an optional leaderboard,
a soft curation/trust signal — e.g. feed extension upvotes into search ranking (relates to Lab #1352) and let author reputation inform the trust posture.

Anti-gaming (important for any points economy)

No self-votes; one vote per user per extension (toggle to remove).
Rate limits / caps on per-action points (esp. comments and feed posts) to deter spam-farming.
Weight a vote by the voter's own standing; consider decay over time.
Moderation hooks for feed posts and comments.

Alternatives

Just upvotes on extensions (no full points economy) — lightest; still adds a curation signal + a search-ranking input.
Reactions / badges instead of a single numeric reputation.
Fold social signal into the existing quality grade rather than a separate reputation number.

Open questions

Points are per-user reputation vs per-extension popularity (or both)?
Point values per action, and where displayed (profile / extension card / leaderboard).
Interaction with team subscriptions (cf. Lab #1327) and with search ranking (cf. Lab #1352 — upvotes as a ranking input).

Context

Surface: swamp-club (website + registry API / Lab).
Existing social signals today: extension pullCount, automated quality score/grade, and Lab issue comments (swamp issue ripple). No upvotes, reputation/points, feed posts, or leaderboard exist in the CLI/API surface.
