#4047 Studio board: "Show finished" / "Show claimed" are pushed off-screen, with no scroll, when a factory has many stages

Opened by mturro_29gn · 10/27/2026

Version: @swamp/stagecraft 2026.10.26.2, swamp 20261027.134600.0, Chrome 156 on macOS

What happens On /f/<factory>/board for a factory with 9 stages, the "Show finished" checkbox (right end of the board toolbar) is not visible and the page cannot be scrolled to it. A factory with 6 stages in another repo shows it fine.

Zooming out four steps (to 67%) made the whole page, including the checkbox, visible.

Likely cause (read from the bundled CSS; I did not measure the DOM)

  • body { overflow: hidden } above 980px wide, so nothing scrolls.
  • .app sets grid-template-rows only, so its single implicit column is auto and can grow to the widest child's min-content width.
  • .board is a non-wrapping flex row of .col { flex: 0 0 260px } (.col.terminal is 200px), so 9 stages need roughly 2,300px. .board-mode is a grid item with min-width: auto, so it can widen the whole .app past the viewport even though .board has overflow: auto.
  • .board-tools .sep { flex: 1 } pushes "Show claimed" and "Show finished" to the far right, which is now beyond the window edge.

Suggested fix Add grid-template-columns: minmax(0, 1fr) to .app (or min-width: 0 on .board-mode), so .board scrolls horizontally inside the window and the toolbar stays in view.

Workaround: zoom the browser out, or use a wider window.
