In the swamp-club manual, content/manual/reference/extensions/publishing.md line 217 describes the quality JSON status field as failed when a check failed or the registry cannot score the extension.

The rubric's own factors are also reported per factor, so a reader can take a missing factor (no README, no license) for a failed check and expect status to be failed. status is the run outcome and matches the exit code: it is failed only when a check that would block a push fails, or when the registry cannot score the extension. A missing rubric factor costs points but does not fail the run; allPassed reports that.

Suggested wording for the status row: passed, or failed when a check that would block a push failed or the registry cannot score the extension (matches the exit code).

Related: swamp-club#3464 fixes the CLI so status no longer turns failed on a missing rubric factor.
